Round Eight of the East Coast Logistics Sprintcar Track Championship Series was at Archerfield Speedway on Wednesday 29th December.
I managed to get my very first QUICK TIME of my racing career, which means the fastest qualifier out of everyone!
Heat 1 was a good clean run where I made up 3 places. Heat 2 I went back 2 places but it didn’t really matter as I had good points and basically just had to finish to be in the dash.
The dash was a bronze, silver and gold shoot out. I was in the silver coming in 4th overall in points. The way this worked is 5, 6, 7 and 8 are all on the track at once time trailing and the 2 fastest times stay on and the next 2 cars join.
So I joined the 2 fastest cars from the bronze and got 3rd – this meant I started from 5th in the feature, which is awesome.
The feature was tough for me as I am still learning where to place the car and how to drive the car in the slick. There is definitely an art to driving in the slick but I am getting there slowly.
I was a little disappointed with this feature as I started in 5th position but went backwards (which I really didn’t enjoy). However, that’s racing and I definitely have to learn how to drive in all conditions, so we will keep going and most importantly learning along the way.

Thanks to all my sponsors, family and crew for all their continued support and help getting me out on the race track each week.
